As a proud Chicago suburbanite, I pride myself on my free-spirited persona, that’s just as “windy” and unpredictable as our city…which explains my 2016 decision to end my traditional career to be a Freelance Journalist. I currently work for a mid-size marketing firm as a B2B Marketing Associate. My previous contract was with the Joint Commission Resources, where I worked as Editor, solely on the monthly production and publication of the well-known, scholarly healthcare journal, Journal on Quality and Patient Safety. Although I’ve solidified an amazing long-term contract, being a Freelance Journalist means that the work hardly ever ends. I am constantly searching for inspiration, motivation and ways to further cultivate my interest for merging my professional career with the creativity that my character exudes. So when I’m off the clock, I help college students format essays and outlines, edit a number of professional documents that range from personal statements to proposals, volunteer for non-profit organizations and manage social media outlets for small creative agencies. I’ve also been putting my efforts into the self-publication of my first book, a children’s book called, Just Like Mommy, which is the first book in The Maddy Series. This project will be launched on November 4, 2017. I graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Organizational Communication and a minor in Dance. During my time as an undergrad, I was afforded opportunities to serve as an intern in many areas of the Journalism industry and was able to discover my passion for focusing my writing on the Arts, Popular Culture and Children's books, as well as using social media to build the networks one deserves. In 2012, ChicagoNow (an online publication of blogs through the Chicago Tribune) awarded me the opportunity to gain exposure as a Fashion Blogger with my own blog, ChicFashion. It is my desire to provide a diverse digital voice and fresh facts/opinions on an array of subjects dear to this generation and more importantly...my creative peers. Furthermore, the release of my Children's books, will serve to enhance and encourage children of all ages to use their imagination, dream and discover their passion. ln addition to being an author, I continue to offer my services as an Editor and Social Media Manager to both creative professionals and agencies.

Soufrière St. Vincent is the northernmost and youngest volcano on St. Vincent Island. The NE rim of the 1.6-km wide summit crater is cut by a crater formed in 1812. The crater itself lies on the SW margin of a larger 2.2-km-wide caldera, which is breached widely to the SW as a result of slope failure. Frequent explosive eruptions after about 4,300 years ago produced pyroclastic deposits …
