Anne Elisabeth Holmlund is a Finnish politician and Interior Minister of Finland since 2007 until 2011. Minister of Finance Jyrki Katainen issued his full support to Holmlund. A survey by pollster Taloustutkimus for YLE showed that dissension towards Holmlund was not widespread: only a quarter of members smaller parties felt she should step down, only 10% of SDP members (with 80% supporting her to stay on), and 90% of the government's partners wanted her to hold on to her ministry. Amongst the population, 82% felt she should continue. Holmlund herself stated at a news conference that resignation "would be tantamount to desertion".

Anne Elisabeth Holmlund on suomalainen poliitikko. Hän oli kokoomuksen kansanedustaja vuosina 2002–2015 ja toimi vuosina 2007–2011 sisäasiainministerinä Vanhasen toisessa hallituksessa ja Kiviniemen hallituksessa.Holmlund on ollut Ulvilan kaupunginvaltuustossa vuodesta 1989 ja toimi valtuuston puheenjohtajana vuosina 2001–2002 ja 2005–2007. Kaupunginhallituksessa hän oli vuosina 1993–2000 ja kaupunginhallituksen varapuheenjohtaja 2003–2004.UraHolmlund valmistui ylioppilaaksi Porin Lyseosta vuonna 1983, minkä jälkeen hän työskenteli myyntisihteerinä isänsä Kauppahuone Ilmari Holmlundilla. Vuonna 1987 hän valmistui ylioppilasmerkonomiksi Porin kauppaoppilaitoksesta.Vuoden 1988 kunnallisvaaleissavaaleissa Holmlund nousi ääniharavana Ulvilan valtuustoon. Eduskuntaan hän nousi vuonna 2002 varasijalta Satakunnan vaalipiiristä Olli-Pekka Heinosen siirtyessä johtajaksi Yleisradioon.Vaalikaudella 2011–2015 Holmlund oli lakivaliokunnan puheenjohtaja. Hän oli valiokunnan jäsen myös vuosina 2006–2007. Holmlundin ollessa puheenjohtajana valiokunta käsitteli muun muassa sukupuolineutraalia avioliittolakia, jota Holmlund vastusti adoptio-oikeuden vuoksi. Holmlund on ollut jäsen myös hallintovaliokunnassa (2014–2015), työelämä- ja tasa-arvovaliokunnassa (2002–2007, varapuheenjohtaja 2003–2007, puheenjohtaja 2007), sosiaali- ja terveysvaliokunnassa (2006) ja ympäristövaliokunnassa (2002–2003).

W 1987 ukończyła kształcenie zawodowe w zakresie zarządzania w biznesie. Pracowała do 2002 w branży handlowej i finansowej. W 1989 została członkinią rady miejskiej w Ulvili. Wchodziła w skład zarządu miasta, była też przewodniczącą rady. W 2002 objęła mandat posłanki do Eduskunty z ramienia Koalicji Narodowej. W wyborach parlamentarnych w 2003, 2007 i 2011 uzyskiwała reelekcję w okręgu Satakunta.19 kwietnia 2007 objęła urząd ministra spraw wewnętrznych w drugim rządzie Mattiego Vanhanena. Anne Elisabeth Holmlund, född 18 april 1964 i Björneborg, är en finländsk politiker. Hon var riksdagsledamot för samlingspartiet 2002–2015 och Finlands inrikesminister 2007–2011. Därtill är hon utbildad merkonom. Hon är bosatt i Ulvsby.Holmlund har varit ledamot av stadsfullmäktige i Ulvsby sedan 1989, och där fullmäktiges ordförande 2001–2002 och 2005–2007. Hon var ledamot av kommunstyrelsen 1993–2000 och vice ordförande 2003–2004. Hon var medlem i Finlands delegation till Nordiska rådet 2003–2004.Holmlund är sedan 1991 gift med Jarmo Peltomaa, hennes far var Ilmari Holmlund, en känd politiker från Björneborg. Anne Elisabeth Holmlund est une femme politique finlandaise, membre du parti de la Coalition nationale, députée et ministre de l'Intérieur de 2007 à 2011.Après une entrée au conseil municipal de la ville d'Ulvila en 1989, elle entre dans l'exécutif municipal en 1993. Elle devient députée de la circonscription du Satakunta en février 2002, après la démission d'Olli-Pekka Heinonen nommé dans l'équipe dirigeante d'YLE. Réélue en 2003 et en 2007, elle est choisie par le parti de la Coalition nationale pour occuper le poste de ministre de l'Intérieur à l'occasion du retour du parti dans la coalition gouvernementale. Elle conserve son poste au sein du gouvernement Kiviniemi.Elle n'est pas reconduite dans le gouvernement Katainen, pourtant dirigé par le président de son parti.Anne Holmlund a eu pour collaboratrice l'épouse du président de la République Sauli Niinistö, Jenni Haukio.
