Multi award winning singer and songwriter Emily Smith is a leading figure of the Scottish folk scene. For over a decade she has been entertaining audiences all over the world with her carefully selected blend of traditional and original songs. Unshakeably Scottish but with farther, wider horizons, Emily’s material sees time worn texts weave beautifully alongside contemporary covers, blurring the borders of old and new. Emily’s beautiful voice eases tired ears and lifts souls with its simple beauty. She also plays accordion and piano. Emily has released seven studio albums, her most recent album release ‘Songs For Christmas’ (released Dec 16) featured several original songs, one of which ‘Find Hope’ was selected for the BBC Radio 2 official December playlist. Emily has worked with many musical greats from the Scottish folk scene and beyond including Phil Cunningham & Aly Bain, Eddi Reader, Jerry Douglas, Richard Thompson, Beth Nielsen Chapman and Mary Chapin Carpenter. Her long term musical collaborator, and husband, Jamie McClennan has accompanied her throughout her career on guitar and fiddle and in recent years produced several of her albums. Originally from New Zealand, Jamie moved to Scotland in 2002 to further his career and initially joined Emily’s band line up on fiddle. Emily’s career began when she was named BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year back in 2002. The accolades continued as she won the USA Songwriting Competition in 2005, Scots Singer of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards in 2008, two nominations in the 2012 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards (Folk Singer of the Year & Best Traditional Track) and in December 2014 she won ‘Scots Singer of the Year’ at Scots Trad Music Awards, for the second time in her career. Emily has toured all over the world, from Cambridge Folk Festival all the way down to the National Folk Festival in Australia, via Europe, Russia, Japan, Canada and New Zealand. Emily Kinney Music

Emily Kinney is an actor and songwriter best known for her role as Beth Greene on AMC's hit television series The Walking Dead. Kinney's musical talents have been featured on TV, in musical theater, and in her own releases. A Nebraska native, she studied theatre at Nebraska Wesleyan University and New York University, staying in NYC to pursue her acting and music career. Kinney worked in theatre off-broadway and regionally before landing a role on Broadway in the musical adaptation of Spring Awakening. In 2011 she released her debut EP, Blue Toothbrush, and started working on The Walking Dead where she would later become a series regular. Her singing has been prominently featured on the show, notably a moving cover of Tom Waits's "Hold On", and a haunting rendition of the traditional Scottish song "The Parting Glass" with cast-mate Lauren Cohan, the latter of which appears on The Walking Dead: AMC Original Soundtrack, Vol. 1. Kinney has also been seen in reoccurring roles and guest appearances on television series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: SVU, The Good Wife, and The Big C. In 2013, Kinney released her second EP Expired Love, which features seven original songs written by Kinney, with production by Caleb Shreve and Conrad Korsch (bassist, Rod Stewart), and mixes by Mikal Blue (Colbie Caillat, One Republic, Toad the Wet Sprocket). She maintains regular performances on both the east and west coast, and has recently been featured in Rolling Stone, Refinery29, People Online, and on Entertainment Weekly Sirius XM. On March 18th Kinney will re-release her Expired Love EP featuring two additional songs.
